Nestled in Domaine de Liounet is a charming private hideaway just for you…

Bienvenue!

Welcome to Domaine de Liounet’s hidden hideaway, our peaceful retreat nestled in a beautiful valley just a ten-minute walk from the charming riverside town of Luzech, in the heart of the Lot, South West France.

Surrounded by ancient oak woodland and rolling countryside of Malbec vineyards, Liounet is a place to slow down, unwind and reconnect with nature. Each day offers the chance to spot roe deer quietly grazing and sometimes wild boar in the Summer when the cherry tree’s are full of fruit. In May/ June you get a mass of butterflies and insects, not to mention the incredible Birdsong which is the soundtrack to life at Liounet. So definitely pack your binoculars!

Despite its wonderfully secluded setting, the historic village of Luzech and the beautiful River Lot are just a short stroll away. Here you’ll find welcoming cafés and restaurants and fresh bakeries and the Luzech local market on a Wednesday. Not more than fifteen minutes away are the beautiful villages of Albas, Prayssac, Puy l’Eveque and a multitude of vineyards, walking trails and brocante’s within easy reach.

We hope you’ll feel at home from the moment you arrive and leave with wonderful memories of this special corner of southwest France.

A garden with blooming white and pink flowers, a gravel pathway, a stone house wall, and an old-fashioned lantern hanging from the house eaves under a blue sky.
A lush green landscape with trees, grass, and a house in the distance under a clear blue sky.

About the Gîte…

The gîte sits within the grounds of Domaine de Liounet, a much-loved private home in the Lot Valley. The gîte itself is cosy, charming and completely private.

‘Our aim was to create a relaxed and welcoming place for family & friends and visitors to come and relax and explore. Liounet is a very special place, it has really lovely informal vibe, like the local area, it’s very unspoilt and the pace life is very easy going. We love the area and the people are very friendly and welcoming. Throughout the year there is always something going on, different markets through the week, or in the Summer a town fête or a vide Grenier going on, a really lovely way to immerse yourself into local life.’ Says Vanessa
